Inspired by the Celtic legend of Finn Mac Cumnaill and the Salmon of Knowledge that came by that knowledge by eating the hazelnuts of wisdom and inspiration that fell into the river. The salmon has been sculpted in a clay that when burned away in a kiln, leaves behind pure fine silver. The brooch Is fabricated from sterling silver with bronze Hazel leaves.

The salmon is a universal symbol for perseverance, regeneration and wisdom.  This talisman is a reminder that challenge is an opportunity. When life is full of challenge, it is easy to have moments of despair.  It can be helpful to remember our experience and wisdom is there to help us.  If we persevere, challenge can be made into opportunity; new learnings, new beginnings, new clarity.
